ALPHA, the Alliance for Legal Professionals and Policy Advocates Hub, is a collaborative network dedicated to advancing the legal profession and public policy. It brings together legal professionals and policy advocates from diverse backgrounds to foster innovation, knowledge sharing, and strategic partnerships. Through initiatives such as innovative legal education, capacity development, policy research, advocacy campaigns, and legislative drafting – ALPHA aims to influence public policy, promote social justice, and shape the legal landscape. By bridging the gap between legal theory and practical application, ALPHA empowers its members to drive positive change and address complex societal challenges.
The organization aims to foster a vibrant community of legal professionals and policy advocates promoting excellence, collaboration, innovation, inclusivity, ethics and access to justice. ALPHA is envisioned to be the leading platform for legal professionals and public interest advocates, driving innovation, fostering ethical standards, and contributing to the industry’s innovation and social development.
The Alliance provides value to its members through the following aspects:
- Professional Development– offer continuing legal education programs, internships, cross-border collaboration, workshops and conferences to enhance members’ skills and expertise.
- Networking and Collaboration– provide opportunities for legal professionals and policy advocates to connect, share knowledge, build cross-border relationships and advance careers.
- Access to Resources– provide members with access to legal research, tools, information and a strong support group for learning, advancement and academic discussions.
- Advocacy and Policy– represent interests of legal professionals and policy advocates for the rule of law and justice.
Who are ALPHAs?

- ALPHA Membership may be classified into two categories, individuals and organizations. Individual members may be lawyers, professors, policy advocates, law students, paralegals, legal assistants, judicial officers, lawmakers, lobbyists. Organizational members can be law schools or universities, law firms, law associations, legal education boards, lobby groups, non-profits, advocacy groups, public interest networks.
- ALPHA members may connect and network with cross-border legal professionals and public interest advocates, taking advantage of having an instant community and a strong support network to expand their personal and professional advancement. Members get first dibs and exclusive access to curated events, conferences online and offline, local and internationally hosted.
- ALPHA takes pride in providing a unique member-only service called “ALPHA LEX CONNECT“, wherein members may request ALPHA to connect and introduce them to their identified individuals for business transaction or for referral. It is like ‘LinkedIn beyond the platform‘ coming to life.
How to join an ALPHA?
ALPHA is divided into three types. ALPHA Central is the main Hub. There are also Country and City Hubs. An ALPHA City Hub may be started by two lawyers, one educator, one policy advocate, one media practitioner, law students and members of the business community. Country hub members are the city hubs. ALPHA Central is composed of the Country Hubs.
Law Across Borders News is an ALPHA product, a media outfit dedicated to advance knowledge sharing, delivery and service among ALPHA members.
In general, ALPHA HUBs are provided with revenue streams for sustainability. Country and city hubs get a share of membership fees and commission on sale of ALPHA services. But wait, there’s more – ALPHA members may be recipient of scholarships, paid trainings, paid lecture opportunities, exchanges and employment opportunities and international practice opportunities.
